Very straightforward sewing project with a great outcome. gifted two of these bags to my friends already!

The pattern is perfect! I’d consider myself an intermediate to advanced sewer. It was fairly easy for me to follow because I’ve made several bags and clothes that include ruffles. I think it might be a little tough as a beginner because ruffles were really tough for me to figure out, but if you take your time you can do it!

I didn't realize that ruffles are considered an advanced technique and was very frustrated! But a little patience and good thread got me through it. This bag is very cute and I LOVE how my bag turned out!

Great pattern, the video definitely helps if you're not completely at ease with the written instructions. I did a first one in the smaller size, but it didn't fit the standard french pocket book size (maybe because my filling was too thick). Fortunately the following ones were perfect!
